Pregnancy physical therapy
Feel stronger, more prepared, and more confident going into labor and delivery.
Birth prep physical therapy for the pregnant woman
We often see mamas who want more out of their pregnancy care. Pregnancy shouldn’t mean living with pain or having your concerns dismissed. Our mission is to empower and educate women throughout pregnancy, optimize baby’s position, and create a birth plan specific to you. Instead of talking about birth, we actually practice it.

Some things that we include in our pregnancy visits include:
Treatment for pain relief of any pregnancy-related discomfort
Pushing practice with various breathing techniques
Partner assisted pain-relief techniques for labor
Perineal massage to decrease the risk of vaginal tears
Education on birth preferences
Pelvis positions to optimize baby’s position throughout pregnancy

“She’s been in my corner from day one—helping with pelvic floor care, designing safe workouts for pregnancy (even for someone who lifts), prepping me for labor, answering every question I had, and now supporting me through postpartum. Her guidance and expertise during my C-section recovery have been truly invaluable. I honestly can’t imagine going through this journey without her.”

Frequently Asked Questions

Physical therapy during pregnancy helps your body adapt to the rapid physical changes happening as your baby grows. It can reduce common issues like back, hip, pelvic, or pubic pain while helping you stay active and move more comfortably. It also prepares your muscles, breathing, and pelvic floor for labor, delivery, and recovery afterward.
We also host a 2-hour Birth Prep Class quarterly with other mamas and their birthing partners! Check out our events for more details.

Pelvic therapy focuses on the muscles, nerves, and connective tissues that support your bladder, bowel, reproductive organs, and core.
A pelvic floor physical therapist evaluates how these systems work together and treats issues such as pelvic pain, bladder leakage, constipation, pregnancy and postpartum recovery, and pain with intimacy.
Treatment may include:
Movement retraining
Manual pelvic floor therapy
Pelvic floor strengthening
Pelvic floor exercises
Pelvic floor coordination
Breathing and core strengthening
Education to help restore strength, function, and confidence in daily life.

No! In Missouri, you can begin physical therapy without a physician script for the first 30 days. This allows you to start treatment quickly instead of waiting weeks for another appointment.
Our staff will get the appropriate paperwork from your provider to continue your care.
-
That depends.
If you’re having symptoms, we would like to see you as soon as possible for an initial visit.
If you’re not having symptoms, we typically recommend starting in 2nd trimester to make sure we have enough time to prepare your body for baby’s arrival.
-
Not necessarily. An internal pelvic floor assessment is one tool to help us get a good picture of what could be contributing to your symptoms.
At Revive Rehab, we want to know your goals and symptoms prior to making any recommendations. If we feel an internal exam would be helpful, we will educate, help you understand the anatomy, and always gain consent prior to treatment.
You are always in control of your care. We can make meaningful progress with or without a pelvic floor internal exam!
