Treatment techniques

  • This technique is utilized for muscular trigger points, scar tissue, and fascial tissue. A small needle is used to penetrate specific tissue to improve mobility, function, and pain. Electrical-stimulation can then be utilized for added therapeutic benefit.

  • A technique directly related to the myofascial system. Myofascial work is a hands-on treatment approach to improve pain and mobility of scar tissue, organs, and the muscular system.

  • A hands-on technique to gently encourage mobility and blood flow of internal organs (viscera), ligaments, and connective tissue.

  • A hands-on approach to encourage improved mobility and overall discomfort of a scar after a surgery or event.

  • A hands-on approach to improving mobility, pain, and tension anywhere in the body. This can include joint manipulation or muscular work.

  • Specific exercises that retrain the brain-body connection to move in optimal ways to decrease pain and improve movement patterns throughout life.

  • Specific exercise prescription to properly strengthen the musculoskeletal system to improve muscle and joint load and create resilient tissue for functional activities.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Pelvic health physical therapy focuses on the muscles, nerves, and connective tissues that support your bladder, bowel, reproductive organs, and core. A pelvic floor physical therapist evaluates how these systems work together and treats issues such as pelvic pain, bladder leakage, constipation, pregnancy and postpartum recovery, and pain with intimacy. Treatment may include movement retraining, hands-on techniques, breathing and core coordination, and education to help restore strength, function, and confidence in daily life.
